Requirements and limitations

Here are simple rules for successful YouTube publishing.

Videos​

  • Aspect ratio: 16:9
  • Formats: MP4, MOV, MPEG, AVI, WMV

Shorts​

  • Duration: Up to 60 seconds
  • Aspect ratio: vertical (9x16) or square (1x1)
  • Resolution: (1080x1920) pixels (Full HD) or higher recommended, but no more than (1080)p
  • Formats: MP4, MOV, MPEG, AVI, WMV

By following these simple rules, you can easily create content that will look great on YouTube.
