Limited access when connecting an account

When connecting the account, not all necessary permissions were granted. This means the service did not receive full access to all functions required for correct operation.

Possible causes​

  • Not all permissions required for the service function were granted when connecting the account.
  • The user through whom the connection was made does not have the necessary rights for the correct operation of the application.

What to do?​

Disconnect the account in the settings and reconnect it, granting all requested permissions. Please refer to the social network connection guide to ensure your actions are in line with recommendations.

Common errors​

Instagram​

If you connected Instagram directly, not all permissions may have been granted during the connection. When reconnecting, the page with permissions may not open. In this case, you need to remove our official application from the list of connected apps on Instagram, then reconnect the account.

Instagram connected through Facebook, or Facebook​

Sometimes when connecting different accounts in different projects, not all permissions may be granted. For instance, if you connect an account in one project and grant permissions only for that account, then switch to another project and grant permissions for another account, Facebook system automatically revokes permissions from the first account.

When connecting an account, ensure you grant permissions to all accounts and all functions. In Postmypost, you then choose which accounts to connect to which project.

If you encounter such an error, delete our official application from Facebook and reconnect it, granting all permissions for all pages.

VKontakte​

A common error is the account being connected is not an administrator of the group but an editor, causing access errors.

Pay attention to step 5 in the VKontakte connection guide: VKontakte connection instructions

After the system prompts you to connect access to stories and messages, a permissions window will open (step 6). After granting permissions, you will return to step 7.

If you do not have administrative rights, an error will appear on step 6. Make sure you have administrative rights in the group before connecting.
