Social media request for action on the account

Sometimes social media platforms request specific actions to be taken on an account. This might be related to activity verification, additional authorization, or other security measures. Such requests help platforms maintain account security and prevent suspicious activity.

Possible reasons

  • Identity verification required — the social network may request account login and code entry from SMS or email if unusual activity is detected.
  • Restrictions due to suspicious actions — the social network system may temporarily restrict account functionality if non-standard actions are discovered.
  • Need to agree to new terms — sometimes platforms update their terms of use and require acceptance before continuing operation.

What to do?

  • Log into the account via the official app — usually, the request can be fulfilled just by logging into the social network.
  • Follow the social network's instructions — the account will specify what action needs to be taken. This might be entering a code, confirming data, or reviewing posts.
  • Check connected services and applications — if third-party tools are connected to the account, ensure they comply with the social network's rules. Using unofficial services may lead to additional restrictions.

Common errors

If the error is related to Instagram, it's important to know how the account is connected: through Facebook or directly.

  • If the connection is made through Facebook, you need to log into the Facebook account through which Instagram was added.
  • If the connection is made directly through Instagram, the requested action must be performed in the Instagram account.

If you have logged into the account but the error persists, try deleting the account in our service and reconnecting it.
